National Science Day celebrated at PACE

The First Year Engineering Students Association (FESA) of P.A. College of Engineering, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organized an invited talk on the occasion of National Science Day on 2nd March 2026 at 2:30 PM in the Multipurpose Hall.

The programme commenced with a prayer by Mr. Abdul Rahiman, a first-year EC student, creating a solemn and respectful beginning to the event. Dr. Supriya Bangera welcomed the gathering.

The invited talk on “Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning in Healthcare Rehabilitation” was delivered by Dr. Sauda, Lecturer at P.A. Institute of Physiotherapy. The session covered important real-world advancements, including:
AI-based Stroke Rehabilitation Systems that utilize standard cameras to assess upper-limb motor function, reducing the need for expensive equipment. Low-cost exergues, making rehabilitation more accessible and engaging for patients. Scalable remote therapy solutions, enabling continuous performance monitoring and accessible rehabilitation from any location.

The talk provided valuable insights into how AI and machine learning are transforming healthcare rehabilitation, making it more efficient, affordable, and widely accessible.

The programme was presided over by Dr. Ramis M.K, Principal, who addressed the gathering and encouraged students to explore interdisciplinary innovations and research opportunities.

The programme was coordinated by Prof. Ismail Shaffi A.M and Prof. Sowmya Shetty. Overall, the event was highly informative and inspired students to understand the real-world impact of artificial intelligence in healthcare. The event was compered by Prof. Haneena, who smoothly conducted the proceedings.
