Awareness Program @ Karnataka Public School-Montepadav by 3rd Year CS Students

As a part of AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) activities, an awareness program was conducted on 24th June, 2023 at Karnataka Public School Montepadav by Afrah Abdul Aziz, Ayshathul Shafra, Khatheejathul Aifa, Ayishathul Misriya, Fathimath Jaziba, Fathima Musfira, Fathima Haifa, Mariam Reema, Fathimath Afreena G.M, Ifrath Begam, Disha D Naik, Fareeha Faiz Ahsan, and Bhagyashree k, which was a very successful and impactful event. The program aimed at educating students on important societal issues such as women empowerment, plastic pollution, demo on emerging technology, and drug awareness.
During the program, students actively participated in informative sessions and interactive demonstrations. They learned about the significance of gender equality and womens rights, encouraging them to challenge stereotypes and promote inclusivity. The session on plastic pollution raised awareness about the detrimental effects of plastic on the environment and wildlife, emphasizing the importance of responsible waste management practices.
Additionally, students were introduced to emerging technologies such as anti-theft alarm system and temperature controller. They witnessed practical applications of these technologies, inspiring their curiosity and motivating them to consider future career opportunities in the field.
The drug awareness session provided valuable information on the dangers of substance abuse, educating students about different types of drugs and their impact on physical and mental health. Strategies for making informed choices and seeking help were discussed, equipping students with the knowledge to resist peer pressure and make positive decisions.
Overall, the program had a positive impact on the students of Karnataka Public School Montepadav. It increased their awareness and understanding of these crucial issues, empowering them to take responsible actions. The students pledged to adopt eco-friendly practices, spread awareness about womens rights, and make informed choices regarding substance abuse.
The success of this program would not have been possible without the support and cooperation of Karnataka Public School Montepadavu, and the guidance of our beloved vice principal and HOD Dr. Sharmila Kumari, as well as Professor Sakeena of CSE department, PACE. Such initiatives play a vital role in shaping responsible and socially conscious citizens who are equipped to create positive change in their communities.
