Department of Computer Science and Engineering-PACE Mangalore, under EMBED CLUB conducted two days workshop on IOT Application Design on 24th and 26th of June 2023. 

Workshop was meant for introducing the Internet of Things application design for students to understand the fundamentals of microcontrollers and introduce them to different development boards and single board computers available for building an embedded system. Students were introduced to one of the development board “NodeMCU” which can be used for multiple IOT application. A full hands on session was conducted using this board such as creating a voice controlled smart home system and other IOT based application. 

Muadh Bin Mohammed Ali and Mohammed Nouman   were the resource persons for the workshop. Nouman introduced students to NodeMCU and various Microcontrollers and their applications. Muadh on session discussed on custom microcontroller based design, development boards and single board computers he also went through Hands on project with NodeMCU. They conducted hands on session for two days on NodeMCU development board using a virtual platform Arduino IDE. Prof. Habeeb Ur Rahman, Prof. Mohammed Saifuddin was the Staff Coordinator for the event and Ahmed Thameem, Abdul mausooq, Furqan Sheikh ,Akif, Thameem Raz,Hisham hasan,sinan and Afham Akram from 4th CSE were the student coordinators.

The Valedictory of the workshop held at 03:30 PM of 26th June 2023, presided by Prof. Mohammed Hafeez. Other dignitaries present on the occasion are, Prof. Habeeb Ur Rahman and Prof. Mohammed Saifuddin.
