Interactive Session on “CAREER OPPORTUNITIES IN OIL & GAS SECTOR for MECHANICAL ENGINEERS”

Department of Mechanical Engineering organized an interactive session with PACE Alumni Mr. Ibrahim Thajir and Mr. Salman Farish, from Expertise Contracting Company, Saudi Arabia. They delivered a talk on ‘Career Opportunities in Oil and Gas Sector’ on 24th May 2023 at 3pm in Mechanical Engineering Lecture Hall G28. Final and third year students of mechanical engineering were the target audience.
They highlighted the job opportunities for mechanical engineers in petrochemical sector in the areas of erection, maintenance and process handling. They also explained the safety precautions required and the prerequisite knowledge base one should have to find a career in the oil and gas sector. Principal, Dr. Ramis M K., HOD, Dr. Prashanth Pai M, teaching and non-teaching faculty members of the department were present during the session. Prof. C V Pujar welcomed the gathering and Dr. Maruthi Prashanth B H proposed the vote of thanks.
