Department of Mechanical Engineering released their Annual Magazine “PACE MECHAZINE” (AY 2021-22) on 10th December 2022 in the E-Learning Centre. The magazine was released by the Principal Dr. Ramis M K, in the presence of the Chief Guest Mr. Sufiyan Ahmed U K, Founder and Managing Director, ‘The Mechanic’ and ‘Oxyline Technologies’, Uppala, Kasargod. The editors of the magazine Prof. Chethan K M and Prof. Navaneeth I M, senior faculty member Prof. Pujar C V were present during the occasion. Also, the two faculty members, Prof. Varun Hegde and Prof. Mohammed Kareemullah were felicitated by the principal and the chief guest for successfully conducting twelve weeks training programme on “Python Programming-Basics and Fundamentals” and two weeks training programme on “Object Oriented Programming Using Python” for the final year mechanical engineering students. Dr. Prashanth Pai M, Head of the Department, the teaching, technical and supporting staff of the department were present during the programme.

Department of Mechanical Engineering officially inaugurated their Association (MEA) and technical Club activities for the AY 2022-23 on 10th December 2022 at 10AM in the E-Learning Centre. Principal, Dr. Ramis M K inaugurated the activities and addressed the gathering. In his address Dr. Ramis M K suggested that the association and clubs must be vibrant in organizing various technical and extra-curricular events for improving the skills of the students. The MEA faculty in-charge Prof. Navaneeth I M announced the office bearers of the Association and Clubs for the AY 2022-23. Dr. Prashanth Pai M, Head of the Department welcomed the gathering. The teaching, technical, supporting staff and the students were present during the inauguration programme. Mr. Abdul Rahiman Moulana led the gathering in prayers. Mr. Ashyam Jafar M P, MEA President proposed the vote of thanks. Mr. Muhammed Jamshid J, MEA Secretary, compered the programme.

Department of Mechanical Engineering organized Fresher’s Day during which the III semester students were welcomed to the department by the faculty and higher semester students. The programme was organized in the E-Learning centre on 10th December 2022. Mr. Sufiyan Ahmed U K, Founder and Managing Director, The Mechanic and Oxyline Technologies, Uppala, Kasargod, was the chief guest of the programme. Mr. Sufiyan addressed the III semester students and welcomed each of them by giving a memento. Principal Dr. Ramis M K, Head of the Department Dr. Prashanth Pai M, Faculty in-charge of Mechanical Engineering Association (MEA) Prof. Navaneeth I M, Prof. Pujar C V, teaching, non-teaching, technical, and supporting staff were present during the event. The programme was followed by the lunch. In the afternoon session technical and entertainment activities were conducted. MEA President Mr. Ashyam Jafar welcomed the gathering. Secretary, Mr. Muhammed Jamshid J, was the Master of Ceremony and proposed the vote of thanks.

Mechanical Engineering Association (MEA), Entrepreneurship Club and Alumni Association jointly organized an invited talk on “Entrepreneurial Opportunities in Mechanical Engineering” on 10th December 2022 in the E-Learning Centre. The students of mechanical engineering department were the target audience. An alumnus of PACE (Mechanical Engg.), a successful entrepreneur, Mr. Sufiyan Ahmed U K, Founder and Managing Director, ‘The Mechanic’ and ‘Oxyline Technologies’, Uppala, Kasargod was the resource person. In his session Mr. Sufiyan highlighted different areas in which a mechanical engineer can become a successful entrepreneur. He stressed that students should have time-sense, patience, punctuality, hardworking and communication skills and a positive attitude along with technical proficiency to become a successful entrepreneur. Principal Dr. Ramis M K, gave the presidential remarks and felicitated the resource person. Dr. Prashanth Pai M, Head of the Department, welcomed the resource person and introduced him to the gathering. The MEA and Entrepreneurship Club faculty in-charge Prof. Navaneeth I M, Alumni association member Prof. Varun Hegde, the teaching, technical and supporting staff of the department were present during the session.
