Android Application Development workshop by IEEE PACE Student Branch
Dec 10, 2022 - Dec 10, 2022
The goal of this workshop was to teach students a way of creating android apps without using any programming language, with the help of a simple drag-and-drop interface. The Kodular website was used in the workshop for its user-friendly UI and ease of use as it didn’t require installation of any software since it can be run within a browser. The workshop started by introducing the participants to the Kodular website. Every participant had to create an account on the website to create new projects. The participants then learnt about various application elements like buttons, text-boxes, labels, checkboxes, etc. and how these elements interacted with each other. By the end of the workshop, participants learnt about basic elements of app development for Android and were able to build a CGPA calculator, a pronunciation checker and a basic home automation application.
The workshop was conducted by Saad Ahmad Mirani, a former Electronics and Communication student at PA College of Engineering, currently working as a System Engineer in Infosys.
