IGNITE 2022 by Department of CSE in association with GLUG PACE

Department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with GLUG PACE organized IGNITE 22 on 18th November 2022.

Mr. Yagnesh Talapady, Co-Founder and CEO of FareFirst, Mr. Sushin PV, Senior Tech Lead at UpGrad and Mr. Rameez Thonakkal, FSMK were the chief guests for the event.

The speakers have highlighted the importance of Free Software philosophy, the open-source development, value of digital privacy and the consequences on the life of human beings when it is subjected to intrusion. The audience were further encouraged to take part in future events and to integrate these principles of GLUG in their professional, personal space and enhance the personal growth and professional opportunities. The students of 2nd year CSE and AIML participated in the event. The sessions were very interactive which involved various questions on career growth and Start-up initiation.

Dr. Sharmila Kumari M, Vice Principal & HOD, Department of Computer Science and Engineering and Dr. Mohammed Ismail B, HOD, Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, addressed the gathering. Ms. Anisha Begum, President of GLUG PACE delivered the Preamble of GLUG and its importance. Prof. Mohammed Hafeez M K and Prof. Ankitha Bekal, were the staff Coordinators for the event. As a token of recognition and Appreciation, the students of 3rd year CSE were honoured securing 1st place at SOSC Hackathon 2022 conducted by Sahyadri College of Engineering, Mangalore.
