Technical Talk: Structural Heath Monitoring

The Institution of Engineers (India) Students Chapter, FORCE (Fraternity of Rising Civil Engineering) of P. A. College of Engineering, in association with the Association of Consulting Civil Engineers (India), Mangalore Center, and RAMCO Cement Limited, conducted a technical talk on "Structural Heath Monitoring" on 19th October, 2022. The resource person was Dr. Shaik Kabeer Ahmed, Professor, Civil Engineering, MMAMIT Nitte.
Dr. Palakshappa K, HOD, Civil Engineering, PACE, emphasized the need, scope, and importance of structural health monitoring. The resource person, Dr. Shaik Kabeer Ahmed, elaborated on the saga of civil engineering planning, design, construction, etc., and highlighted the reasons for various stable and failed structures in civil engineering. He pointed out the importance of structural health monitoring with the latest sensors and technology and its future scope.
Prof. Safa Sana and Prof. Chetan K coordinated the program. The students of V semester Ms. Fathimath Hana, introduced the resource person, and Ms. Mariyam Aleena rendered the welcome speech and master of ceremony of the session. All the students and staff members of Civil Engineering participated in the programme.
