Technical Talk - Airport Engineering

The Institution of Engineers (India) Students Chapter, FORCE (Fraternity of Rising Civil Engineering) of P. A. College of Engineering in association with the Association of Consulting Civil Engineers (India), Mangalore Center, and RAMCO Cement Limited conducted a technical talk on Airport Engineering on 18th October, 2022. The resource person was Dr. Ajith Hebbar, Professor and Head, Department of Civil Engineering, Alvas Institute of Engineering and Technology, Moodbidiri.
Dr. Palakshappa K, HOD, Civil Engineering, PACE, emphasized the importance of organizing, conducting, and participation of students in technical talks to update them on the latest trends in civil engineering and to fill the curriculum gap. The resource person, Dr. Ajith Hebbar, highlighted the various components of civil engineering in airports and also narrated about types of aircrafts their design and air travelling procedures.
Prof. Chethan and Prof. Safa Sana coordinated the program. The students of VII semester Ms. Mohammad Sajad Shafi, introduced the resource person and Ms. Absana rendered welcome speech and master of ceremony of the session. All the students and staff members of Civil Engineering participated in the programme.
