Mechanical Engineering Association (MEA) in collaboration with Alumni Association (PACE NEXT) organized an invited talk on ‘Career Opportunities in Indian Navy’ by Mr. Vinayak M Kalas, Assistant Commandant, Indian Navy, on 22nd July 2022. Mr. Vinayak is the PACE Alumnus (from 2009 batch-Mechanical Engineering) and is currently posted in ICGS Vikram Ship, New Mangalore division, India.
The resource person explained how Indian Navy could be an attractive career option for the mechanical engineers and also will be a chance to serve the Nation. Second and third year students of Mechanical Engineering were the target audience. Prof. C V Pujar, Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering department coordinated the programme and welcomed the gathering. Dr. Prashanth Pai M, HOD – Mechanical Engineering, proposed the vote of thanks. Dr. Ramis M K, Principal, gave the presidential remarks and felicitated Mr. Vinayak in the presence of Prof. Habeeb Ur Rahman, PACE NEXT In-charge, Dr. Krishna Prasad, HoD-Biotechnology and Prof. Ismail Shaffi A M, HoD-Physics. Teaching and non-teaching faculty members of the mechanical engineering department were present during the occasion.
