Invited talk on the occasion of World Environment Day-2022

Institution of Engineers (India) Students Chapter, Environment Cell (EC) and FORCE (Fraternity of Rising Civil Engineering) of P. A. College of Engineering, Mangaluru, observed World Environment Day-2022 by organising an invited talk on “Global Warming and Climate Change” on 7th June, 2022.
The resource person for the event was Dr. Palakshappa K. Professor and Head, Department of Civil Engineering. Dr. Sharmila Kumari K, Vice Principal, Prof C V Pujar, In charge of Environment Cell, Praveen Suvarna, In charge of IEI, and Dr. Prashanth Pai M, Head, Department of ME, were present and graced the occasion. The resource person Dr. Plalaskappa K spoke about the causes, ill effects of of global warming and climate change. Also discussed about how technology can be utilized to reduce emision greenhouse gasses in particular energy, industry, transportation and construcion sectors using renewable energy resources. The resource person also emphasised the awareness among the people & the role of active participation of the people to curb the menace of Global Warming and Climate Cahange
Ms Absana , the student coordinator of IEI, gave a preamble of the program and welcomed the gathering. Prof C V Pujar extended the gratitude to the resource person and the entire gathering. Faculties and students from various departments have actively participated in the talk.
