Talk on UNIVERSAL HUMAN VALUES (UHV) for First Years
Dec 28, 2021 - Dec 28, 2021
As a part of first year induction programme a session on UNIVERSAL HUMAN VALUES (UHV) was conducted by Prof. Chandana. The student induction programme (SIP) based on UHV (as per AICTE model curriculum) can provide an orientation to students for such a holistic education. The purpose of this SIP programme with UHV session is to enrich students with human values as they are the younger generations contributing the engineering knowledge to the equal and just society and helping in promoting national development. As per the NEP introduced, the focus and emphasis is on “Skill and value based education”. This signifies that the young engineering aspirants and graduates in future should sharpen their skills during their educational practices in the institution, and at the same time imbibe and enrich themselves with human values and help in setting up harmony at home, family, institution, society, country and nature at large. The engineering solutions that they would devise and engineering services that they are going to deliver to the society should be aimed towards sustainable development and creating an eco -friendly environment. With the motto of “Wellbeing of all”, AICTE has identified the need for it and is addressing the issues through the conduction of UHV sessions as a part of SIP for engineering students. This will further help in achieving a holistic growth and development of all engineering students.
