The Civil Engineering Department of P.A College of Engineering has organized a two days Workshop on Building Analysis Using  STAAD PRO to emphasize the need for software in civil engineering practices and align the students skills required for the current industrial requirements. The event was organized by IEI (Institute of Engineer) Students Chapter and FORCE (Fraternity of Rising Civil Engineers) in association with CAAD Tech LABS. Inauguration of the programme was held on 6th December 2021 at Edusat hall, P.A College of Engineering. The Chief Guest of the programme Dr.Ramis M.K., Principal, PACE, emphasized the importance of learning beyond curriculum to meet the challenges and requirements of the industry. Dr. Palakshappa K., Professor & Head of Civil Engineering, highlighted the importance of value added courses in acquiring the Knowledge and Skills as part of outcome based education. Mr.  M K Jackson Jebadurai, CAAD Tech LABS was the resource person for the two days’ workshop on 6th & 7th December 2021. Prof. Chandrakanth V Pujar, Associate Professor, Mechanical Department and Dr. PrashanthPai M, HOD, Mechanical were present and graced the occasion. Faculty coordinator, Er. Praveen Suvarna, Asst. Professor, Civil Engineering, stressed on objectives of conducting the workshop. Mr. Irshad & Ms.  Raseena M. P. was the student coordinators. Ms. Ayesha Swaliya, narrated the program. All the faculty and students have actively participated in the two days programme. The certificates were distributed to all the participated 70 participants.
