After the inaugural as part of the Induction Programme the department of Basic Sciences in association with ISTE PACE Chapter organized an invited talk on Emerging Technologies an Overview by the Chief Guest, Mr. Sabarinath Venugopalan. He shared his insightful thoughts on computing, AI and stressed on the fact that how Covid19 has accelerated digital revolution. His message for the students was to prepare themselves to face the competitive world by mastering their skills by digital collaboration. This would infact help them learn to work and prepare for a job without physical proximity because currently this global pandemic has actually threatened the jobs that require high physical proximity when compared to the IT sector. Besides, he also encouraged the young minds to face and tackle ambiguities and prepare themselves mentally to face the competitive world. He concluded his talk by summarizing the key components skills required by students inorder to be successful in life. Skills like building ones own personal brand knowledge on coding collaboration and scaling up faster by dealing with failures and success were the prerequisites stated by him inorder to be successful in life. The session was followed by discussion where students and the faculty had the opportunity to gain more knowledge on the topic.

The programme began with an invocation led by Prof. Zeeshan. The welcome address for the session was delivered by Prof. Abdul Majeed, first year HOD followed by vote of thanks by Prof. Vittal Bhat.
