Invited Talk by Intel – OpenVINO Tool-Kit Training
May 28, 2021 - May 28, 2021
The department of Training & Placement of P.A College of Engineering invited “INTEL Corporation to conduct a webinar on Intel® Distribution of OpenVINO™ Toolkit for the final year engineering students on 28th May 2021. Total of 400 students and faculties from all the branches participated in this program.
Mr, Hariprasad, from Intel Corporation was the resource person, and he explained about OpenVino toolkit. The Intel® Distribution of OpenVINO™ toolkit is a comprehensive toolkit for quickly developing applications and solutions that solve a variety of tasks including emulation of human vision, automatic speech recognition, natural language processing, recommendation systems, and many others. Based on latest generations of artificial neural networks, including Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), recurrent and attention-based networks, the toolkit extends computer vision and non-vision workloads across Intel® hardware, maximizing performance. It accelerates applications with high-performance, AI and deep learning inference deployed from edge to cloud. He also discussed the following application of the Intel® Distribution of OpenVINO™ toolkit:
ENABLES DEEP LEARNING INFERENCE FROM THE EDGE TO CLOUD.
Supports heterogeneous execution across Intel accelerators, using a common API for the Intel® CPU, Intel® Integrated Graphics, Intel® Gaussian & Neural Accelerator, Intel® Neural Compute Stick 2, Intel® Vision Accelerator Design with Intel® Movidius™ VPUs.
Speeds time-to-market through an easy-to-use library of CV functions and pre-optimized kernels.
Includes optimized calls for CV standards, including OpenCV* and OpenCL™.
Finally he encouraged the participant to run the sample application.
Dr Ramis MK ,Principal, PACE, Dr Sharmila Kumari M, Vice Principal ,PACE , Prof. Mohammad Hussain K, T&P Officer, PACE, Prof. Mohammed Hafeez MK Ms’ Heena Kausar P A, Placement Executive, PACE, and the faculties from different department also were participated in the program.
