Entrepreneurship Development Cell, P.A. College of Engineering (PACE), Mangalore organized an invited talk on Entrepreneur Concepts in the Multi-purpose hall on 18th November 2019. Dr. Chidananda Gavimath, Special Officer, Biofuel Research & ED Cell, VTU-Belagavi was the chief guest of the inaugural function and the resource person of the event. He shared his ideology on entrepreneurship and motivated the students to become successful entrepreneurs. He quoted the examples of successful entrepreneurs who have taken calculated risks and created the employment opportunities to thousands of people. He stressed the role of ED Cell in the institution in promoting the entrepreneurial activities among the students in order to make them job providers rather than job seekers. He also mentioned about the assistance from the state and national level funding agencies to promote entrepreneurial activities. Dr. Abdul Sharief, Principal, PACE presided over the inaugural function. Vice Principal Dr. Ramis M K, Academic Director Dr. Surfraz Hasim J, Dean Research Dr. Zahid Ansari and the heads of various departments were present during the occasion. Ms. Anagha welcomed the gathering. Mr. Mohammed Basil compered the programme and also proposed the vote of thanks. 

In the afternoon session the ED Cell has organized a talk on Biofuel-An Area for Entrepreneur by Dr. Gavimath. In his talk Dr. Gavimath explained the method of biodiesel preparation, various types of biodiesel, biodiesel blends, comparison of engine performance using diesel and biodiesel, etc. He motivated the students to become innovative and carry out the research in the field of biofuels. He also highlighted how VTU is promoting the growth of biofuel plants in its campus.

 

Followed by this session Mr. Abdul Razak M P, Alumni of PACE, CEO-Raise Institute and HOD at Millat School Uppala addressed the students and shared his thoughts and experiences in becoming a successful entrepreneur. 

Vice Principal Dr. Ramis M K presided over the valedictory function scheduled at 3.30pm. Dr. Chidanand Gavimath and Mr. Abdul Razak M P were the chief guests and Dr. Surfraz Hasim J, Academic Director was the guest of honor. Certificates were distributed to the participants. In his presidential address Dr. Ramis M K highlighted the need of using latest technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine language and IOT to solve real life problems. Staff coordinator of ED Cell Prof. Mohammed Hafeez M K, student coordinators Ms. Hasna, Mr. Shakir were present during the occasion. Mr. Mohammed Basil welcomed the gathering and Ms. Suzna proposed the vote of thanks. Students from Computer science and engineering, Mechanical engineering and Biotechnology were the target audience.
