Report on Meet The Legend And Ask Dr. P.A Ibrahim Haji

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell in association with the department of training and placement organized a talk on Meet The Legend And Ask, under the series of programs on Post Covid Challenges And Opportunities namely PACE ASPIRE 21. The Program aims to promulgate the facts and educate the various stakeholders of our society on how to face the challenges and make use of the opportunities during the post Covid era. Accordingly various personalities from various domains are invited to share their thoughts and experiences and hence embolden the audience.

The honorable guest for the session was Dr. PA Ibrahim Haji, Chairman and managing Trustee, PA Education Trust. The distinguished attendees for the session included Mr Abdulla Ibrahim, Executive Director, PAET, Directors of the PACE group of institutions, Principals of various institutes of PACE group located in the Middle East  and India ,heads of the various departments under the umbrella of PA college of Engineering. The session was also witnessed by Faculty members and students of the PAET. 

Dr. Ramiz M.K., Principal, PA College of Engineering presided over the virtual session. Dr. Sharmila Kumari, Vice Principal, PA College of Engineering, welcomed the audience for the session. In his introductory remarks, Dr Ramiz M.K. briefly outlined the preamble of the session. He also emphasized on the Pros and Cons of Covid 19 implying on the advancement of technology during the pandemic and to take up the new normal.

Dr PA Ibrahim Haji, in his address, initially congratulated the organizers for the initiatives taken under PACE ASPIRE 21 .Citing examples of great leaders like Khalifa Omar and Mahatma Gandhi, he emphasized the significance of understanding the journey of great leaders who can be trailblazers for the younger generation. He also stressed on being courteous to the creator and be responsible to one’s parents in every phase of life and enhance oneself on being a law abiding citizen of the country. Dr Ibrahim Haji also mentioned about the toll taken over by the pandemic which was an eye opener for the humanity, who had taken things for granted. Further on, the chairman gave an insight into his journey which included his initial days of struggle which he overcame with sheer determination and a passion to achieve his dreams. His belief on the power of education, which he claims as his best investment, enabled him to set up various educational institutions starting from PA College of Engineering, after which there was no looking back. Dr Ibrahim Haji’s message conveyed the fact that a deep understanding of values in life, urge and willingness to serve humanity and a desire for growth and development helped him achieve his dreams which was very inspirational to the attendees of the session. The talk was followed by an interactive session where the chairman answered the queries with pure diligence. 

Dr. Ramiz MK delivered the concluding remarks. Dr Palakshappa , HOD, Department of Civil Engineering proposed the vote of thanks . Prof Fathimath Raihan was the Master of the Ceremony. The session was well coordinated by Dr Syed Ameen, Director, CMSR. , Prof. Hafeez MK and Prof Raayid Muneer .
