The department of Electrical and Electronics had organized a webinar on “Industrial Automation and Robotics on 30 th June 2021. Prof. Manjunatha Prabhu P, Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronics, PES Institute of Technology and Management, Shivamogga was the resource person. Through the hour-long session, Prof. Manjunath Prabhu addressed the various aspects of Industrial automation, its classification, need and growth. He also touched upon the importance of robotics in the field of industry, agriculture and everyday life and highlighted the need for the present engineers to acquire additional skills to get themselves apt jobs in industries. The Principal, Dr. Ramis M K, in his address to the students emphasized that the student community should rise to the challenges in the industry by improving the learning process while pursuing graduate studies in order to upgrade their skill. The head of the department, Prof. John Valder while interacting with the students motivated them to look into greener pastures in the field of education and research. Around 100 students and faculty members participated in the webinar. Ms. Vidhyashree welcomed the gathering. Mr. Mohammed Arshad Gubbi proposed the vote of thanks. Mr. Denzil Vikram Moras compered the program.
