The department of Electrical and Electronics of PA College of Engineering, Mangalore had organized a webinar on 10 th July 2020. The topic for the session was ‘Health in the midst of Covid-19’ and the resource person was Dr. Jenifer D’Souza, Professor and Head of the department of Community Health Nursing, Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing, Mangalore ( A unit of A J Hospital and Research Centre) . Dr. Jenifer D”Souza delivered a lecture highlighting about the Covid-19 pandemic, stages of the virus , its spread, community transmissions, measures one should take to safeguard oneself and family from the pandemic. She stressed on the direct and indirect implication of the disease on the physical, psychological and social health of the individual and society and emphasized on ways to improve mental health. The common myths creating havoc in the minds of the sick were also deliberated during the session. The participants were overenthusiastic during the questionnaire session and cleared many of their doubts. Prof. Divya P compered the program and introduced the resource person along with the welcome address. Prof. Nandini S delivered the vote of thanks.
