DO A BIT WITH MICROBIT 2021

PACE Mangalore, Department of computer science and Engineering under EMBED CLUB organized a one day workshop on Do a bit With Microbit on 30/12/2020 for 2nd semester students of CSE. The Micro Bit was designed to encourage children to get actively involved in writing software for computers and building new things.
The MicroBit is an open source hardware ARM-based embedded system designed by the BBC for use in computer education. The device is described as half the size of a credit card and has an ARM Cortex-M0 processor, accelerometer and magnetometer sensors, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, a display consisting of 25 LEDs, two programmable buttons, and can be powered by either USB or an external battery pack. The device inputs and outputs are through five ring connectors that form part of a larger 25-pin edge connector.
Resource Person Mr. Mohammed Shayiz K P conducted hands on session on Microbit using Microbits MakeCode Online Compiler. Prof Habeeb Ur Rehman introduced students to various resources available under ARM University Program .Prof Abdul Majeed and Prof Mohammed Saifuddin were the Staff Coordinator for the event Mubhashir (6th sem CSE), Mohammed Faizan (6th sem CSE) where the student coordinator for the event.
