Department of Basic Sciences, P.A. College of Engineering Mangalore, organized An expert Talk on “Pursuing Engineering Career in the new normal”, as a first program of ASPIRE21 (A series of programs on Post Covid Challenges and Opportunities), under the aegis of Indian Society of Technical Education. The Chief Guest and the Keynote speaker of the Talk was Mr Akbar Arakkal, Telecom Officer, Qatar Petroleum, Educationalist and Subject Matter Expert. The Program started with welcome Address by Prof. Chandana B R, Department of Electronics and communication Engineering, P. A. College of Engineering. The Executive Director, Mr. Abdulla Ibrahim, PAET, enlighten the participants and organizers with his encouraging words. He spoke about importance of technology in the present world. The Principal Dr. Ramis M.K., in his presidential address, spoke about the importance of engineering and also appreciated the team ASPIRE21 for organizing the talk. Mr.Akbar Arakkal on his talk, spoke about the importance of engineering and how a student has to develop his skill set in order to become a better professional. He even guided the students in choosing the right field for the right job. The talk was followed by a question answer and feedback session. Prof. Divya Shetty, Department of Electrical and Electronics engineering delivered vote of thanks. There were 600+ participants registered from various academic institutions from different parts of India and abroad. Entire talk was well attended and appreciated by the participants.
