An awareness program on "Energy Conservation" was conducted for the first year students on 6th and 10th of December 2019. About 200 students participated in the six sessions. The sessions were held by faculty of the department of Electrical and Electronics Prof. John Valder, Prof. Divya Shetty and Prof. Nandini S. The program mainly focused on the saving of energy, the monetary benefits of energy conservation and the adverse effects on the atmosphere by the excessive use of fossil fuels, radioactive materials and the construction of dams for generation of electricity. The students were sensitized to save energy with real time conflicts arising due to spiraling rates of fossil fuels in and around our country.
