Field trial of solid state fermented Goat manure enriched with ground nut cake using fungal flora on wild saplings planted at PACE campus was carried out on 13th November 2019 by second year Biotech students. The laterite soil of the campus is lacks fertility due to its lower base-exchanging capacity and deficiency of nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium. Second year students of department of biotechnology developed a technology to enrich the soil using solid state fermented goat manure and ground nut cake, which support the initial growth of young wild saplings. Biofertilizer is 100% natural, no chemical added and fungal flora available in the natural soil is used for solid state fermentation. These biofertilizers were applied directly to the wet soil after drenching the soil near stem area Students observed that this biofertiliser is one of the best ways to enrich the soil and also help for free flow of air in the soil and also improve the yield without using harmful chemicals.
