E-STEP BOOT CAMP 2019 by Startup Karnataka Initiative, Government of Karnataka was held at P A. College of Engineering Mangaluru on 20th August, 2019 in association with Start-up Cell Karnataka, Department of IT and BT, Govt. of Karnataka, and PACE-NAIN INCUBATION Centre. The Boot camp is conducted across Karnataka at 30 locations in 21 districts, PACE, Mangalore being the 11th location. Mr. Abrar Torgal, Associate, Marketing and Outreach, Startup Karnataka Bengaluru, Government of Karnataka was the resource person had moderated the Bootcamp. Mr. Vishnu Nagaraj, who is a Mentor and Startup Evangelist, assisted the students. Dr. Krishna Prasad N., District Innovation Associate, PACE-NAIN incubation Centre, Mangalore had organized the event.
Students were encouraged to pitch their idea, develop the product and design the business model. Mr. Mohammed Ashfaque, Managing Director, Atelier Designs, Mangalore as a resource person for developing business model convinced the young minds to become an entrepreneur rather than job seeker. Dr. Abdul Sharif, Principal of P. A. College of Engineering, in his presidential address expressed that innovation centre at PACE would lay a platform for all the innovative ideas in the region. Dr. Surfraz Hasim J, Director (Academics) PAET, Mangalore and were present during the programme. Prof. Shainy Mathew welcomed the gathering and Prof. Nagma Parveen introduced the guest. Dr. Ronald Valder proposed the vote of thanks.
