Around 250 Students of different polytechnics college from in and around Mangalore visited the Labs of Mechanical Engineering, P A college of Engineering, Mangalore on 14.10.2019. Dr. Ramis MK, HOD, Department of Mechanical Engineering, addressed the students during the program. The students were taken on a lab tour, in five batches, each group being headed by a faculty member. All the batches were taken to the CFD research lab, Material testing lab ,CIM lab etc . The faculty members gave details on the safety measures, equipments, their design, and function. During the sessions, students interacted with the faculty members, affectively. They were particularly interested and curious about the CFD LAB and BMW engine functioning. During the lab tour, students gained practical knowledge. This trip was highly useful for the students, in terms of gaining practical knowledge about the organization and operation of Mechanical labs.
