A faculty meet of PAFGC was conducted on Research and Publication in multi-purpose hall on 22-11-19 at 2:15pm. The meeting was convened under the guidance of Dr. Zahid Ansari (Dean Research, PAET), Prof. Zohra Abbas (Principal, PAFGC), Dr. Shamal Sheikh (HoD, Dept. of Commerce PAFGC), Prof. Amjad Khan (EC Dept), Prof. Zishaan Abdullah (Chemistry Dept.), Prof. Asif Afzal (Mech Dept.), faculty members of PAFGC. The objective of the meeting was to introduce goals of CERIE and to motivate for research and publications. Dr. Zahid Ansari emphasized on Importance of research from institutional viewpoint as it represents a significant score in accreditation process (120 points in NAAC , and 200 points in NBA. Also, National institutional Ranking by MHRD assigns 30% weight to research activities and contributions. A brief demonstration of how to use search for relevant literature using Google Scholar and track citation was also conducted. During the discussion it was suggested and decided to form RIG groups and prepare a list of RIG members, research theme and ongoing research. Faculty members were encouraged to apply for the funds to govt. bodies like VGST. The meeting ended with the concluding remarks of Prof. Zohra Abbas.
