An interactive session of CERIE with PAPT faculty members has been organized at PA Polytechnic on October 23, 2019 at 11:00am. The meeting was convened in under the guidance of Dr. Zahid Ansari (Dean Research PAET), Dr. Surfraz Hasim J (Director Academic PAET), Dr. Ramis M K (Vice Principal PACE), Prof. K P Soofie (Principal PAPT) and Prof. Ismail Khan (Vice Principal PAPT). Research Coordinators Prof. Zishaan Abdullah and Prof. Asif Afzal from PACE were also present. Prof. K.P. Soofie, in his welcome address, briefed about the importance of research in developing new technologies.

Dr. Zahid Ansari discussed about the importance of research and innovation for the growth of institute and self-personality. How the polytechnic faculty can contribute to the innovations, how the RIG can be formed, and how they can collaborate with the fellow PACE staff members was addressed. Dr. Ramis followed the discussion with the objectives of the meeting, process and preparation for NBA, and discussed the research activities that staff members can carry. Staff members with bachelors degree were motivated to pursue PG degree, and those with PG degree were suggested for Doctorate degree. The importance of publications for individuals growth and in NBA was also highlighted.

In the final resolutions each department is advised to form the research interest groups, prepare list of journal/conference publications (national/ international) esp. in view of the institute going for NBA accreditation, Faculty members to set individual/ research group publication targets, explore the opportunities to apply for funding and arrange talks by faculty members in the domain of their expertise. The program concluded with the vote of thanks from Mr. Ajith Kumar Vasu, HOD (EE), PA Polytechnic.
