Autotech, a workshop on recent trends in automobile industry
was conducted in the premises of P.A College of Engineering for Diploma
Students of Mangalore Polytechnics, on 14th October 2019 by Department of
Mechanical Engineering in association with ISTE PACE STUDENTS CHAPTER and
Candour Autotech Pvt. Ltd., Trivandrum. The program started with
practical sessions, where on Vehicles like Mercedes Benz GL, Porsche Cayenne,
and Benz E. It was followed by the inaugural function. The function was
presided by Dr. Abdul Sharief (Principal PACE) in the presence of Mr Shamnas
Mohammed (MD, Candour Autotech Pvt. Ltd.,),the resource person of the program,
Dr. Surfraz Hasim ( Director Academics PAET), Dr. Ramis M K ( Prof and Head,
Department of Mechanical Engineering),Prof. Soofie (Principal PAPT) , Prof. C V
Pujar (Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering). Around
250 students from various polytechnics in and around Mangalore participated in
the workshop. The audience were very well involved in the various sessions on
Automotive Diagnostics by Mr. Shamnas. He was assisted in hands on session by
Shawfin B Coordinator - Technical Assistance,Harikrishnan MB Asst. Engineer -
Diagnostics, both from Candour Autotech Pvt. Ltd. The program concluded with
the certificate distribution to the participants.
