Students Participated in ACCS Design Challenge at IIIT, Bangalore

Sep 7, 2019 - Sep 7, 2019

Four student team including 16 students from 3rd, 5th and 7th semester of Department of Computer Science and Engineering under the guidance of Embed Club participated in ADC (ACCS Design Challenge) organized by ACCS and ARM LTD on 7/9/2019 at IIIT, Bangalore. ACCS administers the design challenge to provide engineering students opportunities for learning beyond curriculum and solve real-life challenges using state-of-the-art technologies.

ADC provides students with an opportunity to study current status and challenges in real world and identify opportunities for improvement Evolve innovative and cost effective solutions relevant and appropriate to the application environment Develop skills in System, HW, SW and in Design Engineering. Understand Product Development Cycle and Project management in embedded systems. Get to know potential employers through constant interactions over the duration of the challenge, possibly leading to internships and placements. Proposals for ADC 2019, were invited in the areas of Healthcare, Energy Management, Smart Transportation Systems, IOT, Agriculture and Wearable technologies.  Designs should be centered on any 32bit or 64bit microcontroller boards, developed around industry standard platforms like Mbed, OpenSDA. Participants were encouraged to use free and open source software tools (FOSS).Four team were selected to present their idea in 1st round of ADC at IIIT Bangalore. Students also attended various technical sessions like workshop on Tensor Flow machine learning framework by Google and 5G Technology development with MATLAB held at IIIT Bangalore.
