Three-Day International Workshop at PACE - Report

A three day International workshop on Research, Writing, and Publishing in Reputed Journals EUREKA-2019 was conducted at P.A College of Engineering, Mangalore from 07-09 Aug 2019.
Workshop was organised by Centre of Excellence for Research Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CERIE) in association with Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE) under the aegis of Department of Mechanical Engineering.
On 07 Aug 2019 the event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Dr. Amitabh Anand (Asst Professor - SKEMA Business School, France) and he engaged the session on "Conducting Safe and Cautious Research". Dr. M. Abdul Mujeebu (Associate Professor, College of Architecture and Planning, Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) was the major resource person who imparted in-depth insight into "Research, Writing and Publishing in ReputedJournals" during his various sessions. On 09 Aug 2019, Dr. Sreejith Aravindakshan (Consultant CIMMYT Mexico) delivered a talk on the topic "A date with DATA: Getting to know more about data analysis and models". A hands on session on "Latex: How to tame it" was conducted by Dr Zahid Ansari (Dean Research, PACE) and Prof Asif Afsal (Asst. Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, PACE).
Faculty members of various engineering colleges, Degree Colleges and International Research Scholars of Mangalore University, from Croatia, Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Ghana, Tanzania, Indonesia, Yemen to mention a few, attended the workshop with a great zeal and enthusiasm .
The Valedictory Program of the workshop was presided by Dr. Abdul Sharief (Principal P. A College of Engineering) in the presence of participants, resource persons, and various heads of the Departments under P.A Educational Trust. Dr.Ramis M. K(Vice Principal P. A College of Engineering) and the Coordinator of the program, Dr.Surfraz J Hasim ( Director Academics, PAET) addressed the gathering during the Valedictory Function. The Valedictory program concluded with distribution of certificates to the participants and organizing committee members. The Master of Ceremony of the program was by Prof Awwad and the Vote of Thanks was delivered by Prof Ameen.
