GitHub workshop

Department of Computer Science and Engineering conducted a one day workshop on Git and GitHub 101 which was conducted in PA College of Engineering on 27th October 2018. It was specifically targeted at Computer science and Engineering students to enlighten them about Git and Github. Mr. Sheikh Mohammad Adil,Ms. Aditi Naik, Mr. Nikhil Amin and Ms. Meem Sikandar Khan were the student coordinators.
The key-note speaker was Musthaq Ahamad who is a GitHub campus expert, he was accompanied by Afroz Hussain, both from Community Lead- SOSC. He spoke about how Github helped to attain exposure as well as experience. He described about the features of GitHub. A simple swapping project was created, with which it was explained how to switch to branch, upload the projects on to the website and demonstration of pull request.
The session winded up with a challenge of sending the speaker himself a pull request on his project, the ones who completed the challenge were awarded stickers. Overall, the session was enlightening for the audience. The guests were awarded a memento by Dr. Zahid Ansari (Dean Research).This workshop was coordinated by the staff coordinator Prof. Mohammed Hafeez M K.
