National Level Workshop on Android and Java

Department of Computer Science and Engineering conducted a three day National level workshop on Android and Java from 2nd to 4th November 2018 at P.A. College of Engineering in association with IBNC India and I-Medita Learning Solutions (P) Limited . Mr. Nikhil Amin, Mr. Pratheek Shiri, Mr. Sheikh Mohammad Adil, Ms. Aditi Naik, Mr. Ramesh Raj, Ms. Nishmita K Uchil, Ms. Suzna Khadeeja, Ms. Anagha Premraj, Ms. Hasna Akbar Ali, Mr. Mohammed Shakir were the student coordinators.
The program was inaugurated by the trainer Mr. A Shashank and importance of this workshop was presented by Dr. Sharmila Kumari, HOD, CS &E Department. The trainer was accompanied by an assistant trainer Mr. Ranjit. The session was taken by the trainer started with basics of Android followed by app development and uploading applications to Google Playstore.
On 4th November 2018, Android App development competition was conducted by the trainers. The Winners were Mr. Mohammed Rashad from PACE Mangalore(First Place), Mr. Hassan Mashmoom from PACE, Mangalore(Second Place) and Mr. Shashank Ram from MITE, Moodabidri (Third Place). All the above winners received certificate of Excellence with an offer to attend any I-Medita conducted workshop in India.
The valedictory function was conducted at multipurpose hall. The function was presided by the Principal Dr. Abdul Sharief. The other dignitaries on the dias were the Resource person for the Program Mr. A Shashank, Mr. Ranjit. Vice Principal Dr. Ramis M K, Prof. Surfraz Hasim J Director (Academics), Dr. Zahid Ansari Dean(R&D), Dr. Sharmila Kumari, Head of CSE Dept., Prof. Hussain, Training and Placement officer, Prof. Ameen, Inchage Hostel affairs and staff coordinators Prof. Mohammed Hafeez M K and Prof. Jovita V. Sequira.
There were 92 students participated from Engineering colleges, Diploma and Master of Computer Applications. CS &E Department newsletter "CHRONICLE" was released on the same occasion.
