"STRAIGHT TALK ON START-UPS"
An Insight for Youth by the Pace Alumni
The Mechanical Engineering Association (MEA) in coordination with Entrepreneurship Club conducted an invited talk on 6th October 2018 at multipurpose hall, PACE. The occasion was graced by 7 Alumni and was aimed at 2nd year Mechanical Engineering students. The invited Alumni are businessmen themselves and are successfully operating their startups.
Event was witnessed by the Principal, Vice Principal, Director Academics, and ME faculty members.
A business team of Farefirst viz Yagnesh T: Co-Founder & CEO of Farefirst, Vishal Vijay - CTO of Farefirst, Jaseel S - CPO of Farefirst and Minhaj A - CEO of Peper O Salt graced the occasion with their lively participation throughout the session.
On the occasion, the Alumni interacted with the students between 10.30 am to 1.00 pm and shared their invaluable experiences with them. Alumni discussed about the difficulties one would face while engaging Start-ups & advised students to be prepared to face those challenges. Students later asked their queries related to career opportunities, higher studies, placement preparation and entrepreneurship. This interaction definitely proved beneficial to students for shaping their career and would give them the initial confidence boost they require.
Prof. Surfraz Hasim, Director Academics, presented the preamble of the program & promoted the students about their youth and advised them to utilize their strengths to achieve more & bring laurels to our college.
Dr. Abdul Sharief, Principal PACE, gave a presidential address & briefed the student about the imminent incubation center to be opened in our college & motivated the students to utilize the campus infrastructure effectively & asked the students to approach the teachers as their mentors to identify problems & solving the same
Dr. Ramis MK, Vice-Principal PACE, gave a conclusive remark, thanked the guests for coming & also thanked the management to give the opportunity to host this program & advised the students to keep up the spark 24/7 now on & to keep in touch with their alumni for their guidance & help. In his speech, he updated the alumni about new initiatives and incubation centers taken up by the institute and congratulated the alumni on their success. He also wished them a brighter future.
The Alumni were felicitated by Dr. Abdul Sharief, Prof.Surfraz Hasim, and Dr. Ramis MK during the event.
The meet was concluded by vote of thanks given by Mohammad Hafil (5ME1), in his speech, he thanked the Principal and the college management for this wonderful opportunity. He also humbly appealed the alumni to be in touch and be connected with the institute.
