On Friday 27th September 2024, the 3rd-semester ECE students successfully completed Part 1 of the Social Connect and Responsibility (SCR) activity through a tree plantation drive on campus near girl’s hostel. 

The event, organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, guided by Prof. Arshiya Nazneen N Z, coordinated by Prof. Laila Jaseela A, and supervised by Mr Rudresh, the event aimed to promote environmental awareness and social responsibility among students. Under the supervision of faculty, 64 students divided into teams to plant 12 saplings, contributing to the institutions green cover and learning the significance of sustainable practices. 

This activity not only aligned with the SCR objectives but also fostered teamwork, leadership, and community involvement. The successful completion of this phase has set the stage for further SCR activities that will continue to engage students in socially responsible and environmentally conscious efforts.
