The IEEE CEDA Chapter at P.A. College of Engineering, Mangalore, was officially inaugurated on 19 September 2024, marking a significant milestone in the institutions pursuit of excellence in Electronic Design Automation (EDA) and related fields.

Dr. Aloke Das, IEEE CEDA Chair, graced the occasion as the chief guest, emphasizing the significance of IEEE CEDA and its benefits to students, faculty, and professionals. The inaugural event was attended by Principal Dr. Ramis MK, HoD of ECE Dr. Asif Hassan, Dr. Mohammed Zakir, Branch Counselor and Faculty advisor of IEEE CEDA, and the team.

Dr. Das highlighted IEEE CEDAs scope, encompassing EDA, VLSI design and testing, Embedded systems and IoT, and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. He emphasized the opportunities and benefits of joining IEEE CEDA, including global networking, access to cutting-edge research and publications, professional development, and collaboration with industry leaders.

The chapter aims to foster innovation, research, and knowledge sharing among students, faculty, and professionals in the field of EDA. Dr. Das encouraged students and faculty to leverage IEEE CEDAs resources, participate in conferences, workshops, and competitions, and contribute to the growth of the EDA community.

The inaugural marked the beginning of a new era in EDA research and innovation at P.A. College of Engineering, Mangalore, offering students and faculty a platform to explore, learn, and contribute to the field.
