The Department of Biotechnology at P.A. College of Engineering hosted the Biotech Alumni Conclave, a lecture series featuring successful alumni, on September 20-21, 2024. This inaugural event aimed to connect students with accomplished professionals in diverse industries.

The conclave began with a welcome address by Ms. Shafa, followed by Dr. Ramis M.K., Principal, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in enhancing student learning and career readiness.

The department recognized academic achievements by felicitating class toppers, students who achieved perfect VTU scores, and winners of the logo contest. Dr. Krishnaprasad N, Head of the Department, honored Dr. Ronald Valder for his exceptional guidance.

Mr. Nischith Salian, a 2011 graduate and Technical Designer at IQVIA, Bangalore, delivered the keynote lecture on "Essentials of Clinical Research—Bridging Innovations and Medicine." He highlighted clinical research as the backbone of medical innovation and discussed emerging trends, including AI and big data.

An interactive Q&A session and a one-day workshop followed, providing students with valuable insights into clinical research. Certificates of participation were presented to attendees.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Dana. Ms. Shabeeba V coordinated the conclave, while Josvitha and fifth-semester students ensured its smooth execution.

The Biotech Alumni Conclave 2024 successfully bridged the gap between academia and industry, inspiring students to pursue careers in biotechnology and clinical research.
