P. A. College of Engineering Mangalore has received a grant to conduct a six-day Faculty Development Program on Chip Design using Cadence Tools Sponsored by AICTE Teaching and Learning (ATAL) organized under the Department of ECE. This program is made possible through the coordination of Dr. Asiya Hazareena and Dr. Mohammed Zakir. The chief guest and the speaker of first day was Mr. Mohsin A., Technical Head, VLSI cranes varsity Bangalore. He emphasized that the job opportunities for E&C engineers will rise once the fabrication lab have been setup in India which is one of the vision of semicon India.

The session was presided in the presence of Dr. Ramis M. K., Principal-PACE, who highlighted the importance of chip designer in India along with its emerging trend. The session was addressed by Dr. Sayyed Ameen Ahamed dean students affairs he highlighted the importance of chip on the business view also spoke on the importance of gaining the knowledge and spreading it among our contacts.

Dr. Sharmila kumara, Vice Principal-PACE, emphasized that the Chip designing is a sure future for E&C engineers in India. Dr. Asif Hassan head of E&C department gave an overview on FDP and the importance of learning chip designing. Ms. Haleemath Bushaira final year E&C student compered the program.
