"Building the Web: A Hands-On Adventure in HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap"

The Web Dev 102 workshop, organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at P.A. College of Engineering, was held on August 31, 2024, at Unix Lab from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM and continued at Novel Lab from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. This workshop provided an in-depth exploration of web development, focusing on HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap.
The morning session, conducted at Unix Lab, began with a comprehensive introduction to HTML, covering the structuring of a webpage using various tags and elements. This was followed by an extensive session on CSS, which included topics such as styling, layout techniques, and responsive design. The session concluded with a detailed discussion on Bootstrap, highlighting its efficiency in creating responsive and mobile-first websites.
In the afternoon session, held at Novel Lab, participants applied their knowledge by creating a personal portfolio website under the guidance of the resource persons, Muhammad Ajlan and Muadh bin Mohammed Ali, Software Engineers at Novigo Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Every participant successfully developed and deployed their portfolio online, gaining practical experience in web hosting.
The workshop was well-received, and participants gained valuable insights into web development, from foundational concepts to practical application. The event was a success, thanks to the efforts of the organizers, Prof. Divya, Prof. Avvanhi, and Mohammed Thameem Raz, a final-year CSE student, and the resource persons.
