The 78th Independence Day celebrations were held at the P. A Knowledge City Campus of P. A. Group of Institutions (Mangalore Campus). Principal of P. A. Institute of Physiotherapy, Dr. Sajeesh Raghunathan, performed the flag-hoisting ceremony and addressed the audience. He explained the economic situation of pre-independence India and urged the youth to contribute fully to regain that economic glory.

The program was addressed by Dr. Ramis M.K., Principal of P. A. College of Engineering, who spoke on upholding the inclusive nature of Indian culture. Dr. Saleemulla Khan, Principal of P. A. College of Pharmacy, emphasized the importance of upholding the Constitution. Dr. Sharmila Kumari, Vice Principal of P. A. College of Engineering, inspired the audience to work together for a better tomorrow.

Other dignitaries present included Dr. Surfraz J. Hasim, Principal of P. A. First Grade College, Dr. Sayyad Ameen Ahammad, Dean of Student Affairs, P. A. Educational Trust Institutions, Prof. Ismail Khan, Vice Principal, P. A. Polytechnic, Dr. Harikrishnan, Vice Principal, P.A First Grade College, Heads of various departments, teaching and non-teaching staff, and students.
