SPICE-7: Mini Project Exhibition & Competition by First Year Students
Jun 13, 2024 - Jun 14, 2024
The department of Electronics & Communication Engineering under the banner of Ignited Minds of Electronics (IME) in association with IEEE Mangalore Subsection, IEEE Robotics & Automation Society organized SPICE-7 (Students Project Innovation Competition and Exhibition), a mini-project competition and exhibition featuring Arduino Uno projects. The event, held on June 13th & 14th, 2024, saw enthusiastic participation from first-year students of D, E, F and G Sections who showcased their creativity and technical skills..
These projects highlighted the students understanding and application of embedded systems, which they had learned in their course "Introduction to Embedded Systems – BETCK205J”. The exhibition took place in various labs within the Electronics & Communication Engineering department.
A total of 160 students participated, showcasing 35 different projects. The judging panel, led by Prof. John Valder from the Electronics & Communication Engineering department, evaluated the projects based on creativity, technical proficiency, and practical implementation. The competition provided a valuable platform for students to demonstrate their skills, receive constructive feedback, and engage in peer learning.
The event was efficiently coordinated by Prof. Mohammed Saleem, Prof. Litti Mol Mathew, and Prof. Tenson Jose, who ensured the smooth running of the exhibition.
This event not only fostered a spirit of innovation and creativity among the first-year students but also enhanced their practical understanding of embedded systems through hands-on experience with Arduino Uno projects.
