Hack Summit 2024

Hack Summit 2024, an exclusive Hackathon, was organized by the GNU/Linux User Group (GLUG) PACE and conducted by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML). This prestigious event was held in collaboration with IEEE, Embed Club, IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS), and IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE). Hack Summit 2024 served as an extraordinary platform for the students of P.A. College of Engineering, Mangalore to showcase their creativity, push their boundaries, and collaborate on technology. 
The event commenced with a warm welcome from the organizers, addressing the respected Principal, Heads of Departments, teachers, coordinators, and participants. Shafeeq led everyone in seeking the blessings of The Almighty through a heartfelt prayer. Followed by the prayer, the Principal of P. A. College of Engineering, Dr. Ramis M.K. shared his words of wisdom and encouragement. He emphasized the importance of innovation and collaboration in the field of technology. He inspired the participants to leverage this opportunity to learn, grow, and make significant contributions to the tech community. Dr. Sharmila Kumari, the Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, highlighted the significance of Hackathons in bringing up the culture of innovation and creativity among students. She encouraged the participants to take full advantage of the resources and mentorship available during the event to develop solutions that address real-world problems. Dr. Manjula, the Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning discussed the rapid advancements in AI and machine learning and the immense potential these fields hold for the future. Shakeel, our senior and a major motivator for the participants shared his personal experiences and insights, motivating the participants to stay focused, work hard, and make the most of the opportunities presented by Hack Summit 2024. Dr. Hafeez M.K., and Prof. Ankitha Bekal, Staff Coordinator GLUG-PACE, and Prof. Saifuddin, Staff Coordinator Embed Club, provided invaluable support throughout the event, ensuring its smooth execution. As the opening ceremony concluded, the participants were reminded of the unique opportunity Hack Summit 2024 presented. They were encouraged to innovate, collaborate, and excel throughout the Hackathon. The event aimed to be a memorable and transformative experience for everyone involved, pushing the boundaries of technology and building a spirit of community and collaboration. 
On June 8th, 2024, the valedictory function of Hack Summit 2024 was held at Edusat Hall. The event marked the successful conclusion of the Hackathon and celebrated the achievements of the participants. The function was graced by distinguished guests and organized under the patronage of esteemed individuals. We were pleased to have our Guest of Honor Mr. Sharfuddin P. K AGM (Campus) of P.A. Education Trust. Distinguished Guests Mr. Mohammad Anees, CEO of Solukraft and Mr. Ankush Shetty, Software Developer at EG India. Mr. Mohammad Anees shared insights into the industry expectations from young tech enthusiasts. He encouraged participants to continue their journey of learning and innovation beyond the hackathon. Mr. Ankush Shetty inspired the participants with his own experiences and emphasized the importance of perseverance and continuous improvement in the tech field. Dr. Ramis M.K., Principal of PACE, presided over the function. He congratulated the participants on their hard work and success. He highlighted the importance of events like Hack Summit in bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world applications. Dr. Sharmila Kumari, HOD of CSE and Dr. Manjula, HOD of AIML also attended the event. Mr. Shakeel also addressed the gathering by motivating the students to continue participating in such events to enhance their skills and knowledge. The event proceeded with the distribution of awards and certificates to the winning teams and participants. The winners of the Hackathon were celebrated for their innovative solutions and exceptional performance. The valedictory function concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of all organizers, participants, and supporters. With the presence of esteemed guests and motivational speeches, the function highlighted the importance of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning in the field of technology.
