Awareness Session on Outcome Based Education (OBE) by EC Department
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized an awareness program on Outcome Based Education (OBE) on 17th May, 2024, at the Edu-Sat Hall. The event featured Dr. Krishna Prasad N as the guest speaker, who is an esteemed expert in the field of OBE.
The audience included 2nd and 3rd year students, faculty members and technical staffs of EC department. Dr. Asif Hassan, HOD of the department introduced Dr. Krishna Prasad N to the audience, setting the stage for the informative session.
Dr. Krishna Prasad N delivered an insightful talk on the principles and implementation of Outcome Based Education. His presentation emphasized the importance of aligning educational objectives with student outcomes to enhance the quality of education and ensure that graduates are well-prepared for their professional careers.
Key points covered in the talk included:

• Steps to implement OBE effectively in educational institutions.
• Benefits of OBE for students, faculty, and institutions.

During the session, feedback was collected from the participants on various aspects, including the Vision, Mission, Program Educational Objectives (PEOs), Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs), and Program Outcomes (POs). This feedback would be valuable for the departments ongoing efforts to improve the educational experience.
A quiz was also conducted during the session, and it received an enthusiastic response from the participants, further engaging them and enhancing the interactive nature of the event.
At the conclusion of the program, the HOD presented a memento to Dr. Krishna Prasad N as a token of appreciation for his valuable contribution to the event.
The event was meticulously coordinated by Prof. Mohammed Saleem, ensuring smooth execution and engagement. Prof. Mohammad Hussain K., concluded the session with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to Dr. Krishna Prasad N and all attendees.
