DIGITAREV 2024: International Conference on Digital Renaissance held under the umbrella of ICEST-24

The International Conclave on Engineering Science and Technology-2024 (ICEST-24) commenced with a grand inauguration ceremony at P. A. College of Engineering, Mangalore, featuring six conferences covering various engineering disciplines, on April 23, at P.A College of Engineering Campus. Among these, the International Conference in Basic & Applied Science 2024 (ICIBS-24) was held under the umbrella of ICEST-24, representing the Department of Computer Science & Engineering. ICEST-24 comprised six conferences covering different engineering disciplines, namely MECH-TECH, IC-ICE, DIGITAREV 2024, SEMI-COMM TECH SUMMIT, BIOTRENDCON, and ICIBS. The inaugural event commenced with an Invocation by Abdul Abdu Samad, followed by a welcoming speech by Dr. Shareefraju J. Ukkund, the Convener of ICEST-24, and a preamble address by Dr. Sharmila Kumari, emphasizing the significance of the research environment. The Chief Guest, Mr. Sohan M., Senior Manager at Infosys, Mangalore, highlighted the importance of multidisciplinary approaches. Dr. P. Nagabhushan, VC of Vignan University, AP, delivered the keynote address focusing on the 5As in engineering and the convergence of various engineering disciplines through ICEST. Conference proceedings were released, with addresses from distinguished guests including Managing Trustee Mr. Abdullah Ibrahim, who emphasized the commitment of PACE Group to research. Dr. Ramis M. K., General Chair of ICEST-24 and Principal of PACE, also delivered presidential remarks. The program included faculty, students, and delegates from various institutions, concluding with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Krishna Prasad N., Chair of BIOTRENDCON and HOD of the Biotechnology Department.
 
Day 1: The conference commenced with eager anticipation as attendees gathered to witness a keynote address by Dr. B. H. Shekar, a distinguished Professor at Mangalore University. Dr. Shekars insightful talk, titled "Decoding Deep Learning: From Theory to Application," captivated the audience, shedding light on the intricate nuances of deep learning and its practical implications. His expertise provided a solid foundation for the subsequent discussions and presentations.
Following the enlightening keynote, participants delved into a series of oral presentations across various tracks. The sessions encompassed diverse topics, including Data Science & Machine Learning, Cloud & Grid Computing, and Block chain Technologies. Each presentation offered valuable insights into cutting-edge research, innovative methodologies, and emerging trends within the digital domain. Attendees actively engaged with the presenters, exchanging ideas and perspectives, thus fostering a dynamic and collaborative atmosphere.
 
Day 2: The second day of the conference commenced with another stimulating keynote address, this time by Dr. Nagesh H. R., the esteemed Principal of Canara Engineering College, Mangalore. Dr. Nageshs presentation on "Cyber Security - Trends, Challenges, and Solutions" provided a comprehensive overview of the evolving landscape of cybersecurity, highlighting key trends, imminent challenges, and effective strategies to mitigate cyber threats. His insights served as a catalyst for further discussions and reflections on the critical importance of cybersecurity in the digital age.
 
Following the keynote, attendees delved into sessions focusing on Network Security & Cryptography, as well as Computational Sciences and Cyber Physical Systems. These sessions featured a diverse range of presentations, each offering unique perspectives and innovative approaches to addressing contemporary challenges in digital security and computational sciences. The discussions sparked by these presentations were intellectually stimulating and contributed to a deeper understanding of the complex interplay between technology, security, and society.
 
The presentations were expertly moderated by a panel of distinguished session chairs, including Dr. Saleem Malik, Dr. Sharmila Kumari M, Dr. Shamna N V, Prof. Mohammed Hafeez M K, Dr. S Abdul Hayan, Dr. Manjula V, Prof. Afsar Baig, and Prof. Habeeb Ur Rehman. Their guidance and expertise ensured the smooth conduct of the sessions and facilitated meaningful interactions among presenters and attendees alike.
 
Led by Dr. Sharmila Kumari M, the Organizing Committee for DIGITAREV 2024 comprised a dedicated team including Co-chair Dr. Manjula V, Convener Dr. Shamna N V, and members Prof. Afsar Baig, Prof. Varsha M, Prof. Ankitha Bekal, Prof. Vaishnavi K B, Ms. Salwa Saniya and Prof. Saifudeen. Their collective efforts and meticulous planning were instrumental in orchestrating the success of the conference. With their leadership and commitment, they ensured the seamless execution of DIGITAREV 2024, providing all participants with an enriching and memorable experience.
 
DIGITAREV 2024 concluded with the Valedictory Program on April 24, noon with notable addresses by various dignitaries including Dr. Palakshappa, Chair, IC-ICE, who delivered the Welcome Speech, and Dr. Prashanth Pai, Co-Chair, ICEST 24, who presented a comprehensive report on the events highlights. Mr. Zubair Ibrahim, Trustee, GC Member & Trustee, P. A Educational Trust (PAET) highlighted the institutions commitment to innovation. Chief Guest Dr. A. M. Khan, Director, Skill Development Centre, Mangalore University, discussed post-COVID trends in AI and encouraged research-focused education. Dr. Surendra Kumar, Pro VC, Presidency University, shared insights on the future of engineering education and entrepreneurship. The ceremony also featured addresses by esteemed guests of honors including Mr. Ahmed Kutty, Director of Finance at P. A. College of Engineering, Mangalore; Dr. Surfraz J. Hasim, Principal of P. A. First Grade College, Mangalore; and Dr. Sajeesh Regunathan, Principal of P. A. Institute of Physiotherapy, Mangalore, Dr. Shivakumar Gowda, SDMCET, Dharwad. Dr. Ramis M K, delivered the Presidential Remarks and Dr. Sharmila Kumari, extended thanks to all contributors. Additionally, certificates were distributed to Chairs, Convenors, Participants, and all organizers, acknowledging their valuable contributions to the successful ICEST 24 conclave.
