Department of Mechanical Engineering, P. A. College of Engineering, Mangalore, officially inaugurated the ASME Student Section on Monday, March 11, 2024 at 11am in the Lecture Hall G28.  Prof. Ismail Khan, Vice principal, P.A. Polytechnic, Mangalore, was the Chief Guest of the inaugural ceremony. 

In his inaugural address, Prof. Khan motivated the students to become more innovative, technically sound and exhibit their skills using the professional platforms such as ASME. In his presidential remarks, Principal Dr. Ramis M K emphasized the significance of ASME and its role in shaping the budding engineers. He also suggested the students to organize quality programs under the banner of ASME and also participate in various events conducted by ASME to get recognized at the global level. 

The dignitaries and the faculty members distributed the ASME welcome kits to the student members. HOD, Dr. Prashanth Pai M welcomed the gathering and ASME Coordinator Dr. Maruthi Prashanth B H proposed the vote of thanks. Mr. Midhun K C, ASME student member, was the Master of Ceremony. The teaching, non-teaching staff and the students of mechanical engineering department were present during the event.  Mr. Mohammed Shafeeque led the gathering in prayer. The ceremony marked the beginning of a journey for the ASME Student Chapter at P. A. College of Engineering, promising opportunities for growth and development of the ambitious mechanical engineers.
