VISIT TO AN AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY BY V SEM MECHANICAL ENGINEERING STUDENTS
As a part of industry-institute interaction, V sem mechanical engineering students visited an automobile industry, ‘The Mechanic’ located at Kuthar, Mangalore, on 13-01-2024 under the leadership of Dr. Mohammed Salman Warimani, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Mechanical Engg. The students visited the industry to get the practical knowledge of construction, functioning and servicing of various automobile parts. The students were guided by one of the resource persons from the industry, who demonstrated the areas like automobile body, construction and functioning of the engine, gearbox and its parts, overhauling of engine, wheel alignment, service and maintenance management, spare parts management, etc. This visit helped the students in better understanding the subject ‘’Modern Mobility and Automotive Mechanics’ of the current (fifth) semester.
