Prof. Chetan S Solanki, The Solar Man of India, says "Energy Literacy is the first step towards climate correction?. A National Campaign on Action for climate correction, ?National Energy Literacy Week? is being organized from 15th to 20th January 2024 with the goal to make every user Energy Literate. National Energy Literacy Week (NELW) is a collaborative endeavor to empower people with the tools needed for a sustainable future. Already over 700 organizations, including academic, government, social and corporate, have been registered in the Energy Literacy Programme. An online meet using Google Meet platform was scheduled on 10th January 2024 to provide the guidance to academic institutions regarding the NELW registration process and to create awareness on Energy Literacy Training and Certification. The session was led by Prof. Chetan Singh Solanki, IIT Bombay. Two faculty members from the Mechanical Engineering department, Prof. Pujar C V and Prof. Kiran Kumar B attended this meet to inculcate energy literacy awareness among the stakeholders of our institute. Energy literacy Training and Certification is in progress in our institution under the leadership of Prof. Pujar C V.
