A technical talk and felicitation of toppers were organized jointly by the Civil Engineering Department under the forum FORCE,   Institution of Engineers (India), IEEE Geoscience & Remote Sensing Society, and Institution Innovation Council on December 21, 2023.

The program began with technical talk on Modern Software Tools and its Application in Civil Engineering. The resource person was Mr. Jackson Jebadurai P, Director CADD Technologies, Training Service, Mangaluru. The resource person narrated about the recent softwares and their applications on Civil Engineering. 

The technical talk was followed by a felicitation ceremony of toppers and introduction of the freshers to the department. The event began with a welcome speech by Ms. Chaitanya, VII Semester. Dr. Ramis M.K., Principal, PACE, elaborated on the opportunities for the civil engineers  and importance of team work and  appreciated the academic toppers. He also inspired students to accept the challenges in life with commitment, courage, and confidence. Dr. Palakshappa K. HOD, Dept. of Civil Engineering, emphasized the significance of department forum activities and encouraged students to utilize the platform effectively for up-skilling their careers and developing leadership qualities. Dr. Sharmila Kumari B, Vice Principal, PACE, briefed about time management, planning, and execution of tasks.

The meritorious students were appreciated and honored with prizes.

Students of the final year welcomed the II-year students by presenting saplings. Ms. Rahil Shafi, student of the VII semester, rendered a vote of thanks. Ms. Mariyam Aleena mastered the ceremony. Prof. Chethan K. and Prof. Kavyashree coordinated the program. All the staff and students actively participated in the program.
