Observation of the National Energy Conservation Day
Department of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Biotechnology and Environment Cell together observed the ‘National Energy Conservation Day’ on 14th December 2023 to promote energy efficiency, elevate awareness on the importance of energy conservation and encourage sustainable practices. The day was observed to address the growing challenges of energy sustainability and environmental concerns. A number of activities were organized on this day to foster a sense of responsibility towards energy consumption and promoting energy-efficient practices in the campus. Student members of the environment cell led by Prof. C V Pujar, Dr. Krishna Prasad N, Dr. Prashanth Pai M and Prof. Shainy Mathew, actively participated in these activities. Dr. Ramis M K, Principal, addressed the gathering to focus on the long-term implementation of sustainable practices at the institute and personal levels. National Energy Conservation Day served as a crucial reminder of the shared responsibility to safeguard the environment. The efforts of the participants highlighted the commitment to build a more sustainable and energy-efficient Campus.
