Department of Training and Placement & Department of Mechanical Engineering jointly organized a training programme for III year mechanical engineering students from 30.10.2023 to 11.11.2023 (2 weeks) on BIM REVIT. Mr. Abdul Majeed and Mr. Kunal Bhute from deltaT MEP Technical Academy, Bangalore, were the resource persons for the internship program. Building Information Modeling (BIM) is an intelligent 3D model-based process that gives Architecture, Engineering and Construction professionals the insight and tools to more efficiently plan, design, construct and manage buildings and infrastructure. The BIM software is used to automate all aspects of building design, analysis and documentation. BIM has the ability to reduce costs and increase accuracy in building design, analysis and construction. The REVIT helps to gain expertise in MEP drawing, design visualization and 3D modeling. The basic knowledge of CAD is sufficient to carry out schematic designs, system analysis, construction documentation and design visualization involving a wide range of systems including HVAC, ductwork, piping and electrical circuits. Mini project works/assignments were given to the students to implement the knowledge gained during the training programme. Prof. Kiran Kumar, faculty of Mechanical Engineering coordinated the training programme jointly with the placement & training department. The department has also signed a MoU with deltaT MEP Technical Academy to upskill the students
