The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at PACE, in collaboration with Embed Club and Glug Pace, organized an Outreach Program Session for the first-year Computer Science and Engineering students of P. A. Polytechnic. This session aimed to provide these budding students with a strong introduction to programming and essential concepts in the field of computer science.

The session took place on 4th October 2023 at PACE Campus and was designed with a comprehensive agenda to ensure a productive learning experience for the participants.

The program commenced with a welcoming address from Prof. Habeeb Ur Rehman, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, The Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering Dr. Sharmila Kumari, who emphasized the significance of programming in todays world and urged the students to actively participate and engage in the session.

The heart of the session was the introduction to programming delivered by Mohammed Nouman (President, Glug Pace) and Muadh Bin Mohammed Ali (President, Embed Club). This presentation covered fundamental topics such as programmings essence, the various programming languages and their types, programming paradigms, and the concepts of syntax and semantics, as well as variables, data types, and operators.

Feedback from the participants was highly positive, with many expressing newfound confidence in their programming skills and a strong desire to explore further in the field of computer science.
